+ 0 - 1 | § How Appropriate

For longer than I've been alive, the Stanley Cup has been ingrained in the public's consciousness as a symbol of hockey. An uncaptioned picture of it is immediately associated with the NHL by virtually any sports fan.

So how appropriate is it that the Cup was left behind at an airport as overweight baggage last weekend? And in Canada, no less, where the Stanley Cup is only slightly less religious an artifact than the less-accessible Holy Grail?

Amusing story... or sadly accurate metaphor?
